General Production Step 1: Packaging
Packaging consists of a general outer protective box, internal spacing gusset and a bubble wrap bag. Packaging is ordered, produced and delivered to rotational molder to ensure necessary protection during further handling. General straight cutting and standard punching profiles may be used to eliminate the need to produce a large custom die cutting tool, however external artwork will be applied using Flexo-graphic stamping which will require artwork to be approved and supplied, and a new stamp to be made.
General Production Step 2: Rotational Molding
The outer shell of the product is rotationaly molded in a single shot achieving a uniform surface finish and colour across the exterior of the shell and the inner face of the circular diffuser. At this point the shell is trimmed to remove flashing from the tool, and two access holes are made for wiring. Small locating indents are embedded into the molding tool to assure alignment of hand tools durring trimming operations.
General Production Step 3: Electrical Installation
Off the shelf 3rd party electrical components are fitted to a mild steel Chassis. The LED driver and beam install from the top end of the shell and plug into the LED array which is mounted to an internal face through an access hole. An order for electrical installation needs to be placed at the same time as an order for rotational molding to allow time for component delivery to assembler. An order upon the steel fabricator will also need to be placed in parallel for the fabrication and powder coating of the Chassis.
General Production Step 4: Delivery
Pick-up will be made from the electrical assembler and delivery could be made to Cult warehousing or direct to customer.
General Production Step 5: Plug and Play
Out of the box the Frank lighting product will be wired into a 3 pin power plug to be used instantly as a floor lamp. If the product is to be used as a traditional pendant the plug and switch will be removed by the electrician during installation. The rational for this installation approach is to reduce inventory down to only colour skew's. The "Plug and Play" nature of the product also reduces the installation barrier to purchasing encountered by those unwilling or unable to undertake electrical work such as gift purchasers and renters. A ceiling rosette and cable crimps will be supplied in the box, as per standard. Custom lengths and flex and can be considered upon application.

Corporate Culture's Design Journey began in 2004 and is an annual competition that gives local designers an opportunity to see their furniture designs prototyped and put into production. Each year a brief is issued with the winning design being prototyped then shown at Saturday Indesign the following year. The final piece is put into production and becomes part of the permanent collection alongside the iconic brands that have become synonymous with the Corporate Culture name. The Design Journey is about investing in local designers and contributing to the future of design in Australia. Over the years the competition has grown to become one of the most anticipated and highly regarded opportunities in the A+D community.
